Snooze will arrange transportation for ALL guests (Snoozers, Sponsors, and their guest) from the airport to the resort, and the resort back to the airport. 2 weeks prior to the trip, we will provide you a detailed itinerary that will include specific information on navigating the airport and locating your shuttle bus.
How far is the resort from the airport? Halekulani is located 9 miles from the airport. The trip takes approximately 25 minutes.
What should I pack? Beach resort wear is your best for the majority of the time you are on the property. If you want to take a dip in in the pool or enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific (average water temp in September is 79 - 82 degrees), a swimsuit is required. There will be 3 Snooze sponsored events with a specific dress code (Welcome Party, Sponsorship Meeting, and the Compass Circle Recognition Dinner). Some of the restaurants also have specific attire requirements (visit the Halekulani website for more information - https://www.halekulani.com).
Welcome Party: Resort Chic. Resort chic attire is a fashion style inspired by vacation destinations. It combines comfort, relaxation, and beachy vibes into everyday clothing for any occasion. It is commonly used in upscale hotels and resorts, allowing guests to look fashionable while remaining comfortable in warm weather. For women, resort chic attire includes flowy maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or palazzo pants combined with light blouses or crop tops. For men, resort chic attire includes linen or light weight cotton trousers or shorts in neutral shades, polo shirts or short-sleeved button down with fun prints or colors, and light weight loafers, boat shoes, sandals, or casual shoes.
Compass Circle Recognition Dinner: Resort Cocktail. Resort cocktail attire is inspired by the island lifestyle. Think bold prints, florals, and beachy vibes combined with an upscale motif. It’s less formal than black-tie attire but more sophisticated than casual wear. The idea behind resort cocktail attire is to look stylish and elegant while being comfortable in a warm climate. For women, resort cocktail attire usually means wearing a knee-length or midi dress, or pants made from lightweight fabrics such as cotton, linen, or silky/flowy blouses. You can also wear a skirt paired with a blouse or top. Choose breezy tops made from lightweight fabrics such as chiffon or lace. If you prefer pants, choose cropped pants paired with a dressy top. When it comes to shoes, avoid anything too high or uncomfortable. Opt for sandals or wedges that are easy to walk in and complement your outfit. For men, resort cocktail attire usually means wearing a sport coat or blazer paired with dress pants made from lightweight fabrics such as cotton or linen. Pair your outfit with a collared shirt; choose light colors such as white or pastels for a summery look. When it comes to shoes, opt for loafers or dress shoes that are comfortable and match your outfit.
Sponsorship Meeting: Think upscale casual. Shorts, dresses, button down shirts or polos, resort inspired dresses and jumpsuits, resort wear, or everyday clothing. Come comfortable, but not in your pajamas or bathing suit.
Optional Group Outing: If you plan to attend the outing on Tuesday, please pack a swimsuit, closed toed shoes, sunscreen, a hat/headwear, and any other desired sun protection (swim shirts, caftans, cover ups, etc.). More information to come!
